A new issue of the journal Acta Historiae Medicinae XLII/2023/2 has been published. In this issue, biopolitical topics are covered with a special focus on the testaments of Zadar pharmacists from the 14th century, the dispute regarding the treatment of a patient in Sombor in 1775, then on the legacy of monastery pharmacies on the example of the monastery of St. Martinho De Tibães, preventive measures of the British army against malaria on the Macedonian (Salonika) front, as well as the documentation of the Banja Luka Clinical-Medical Center related to the case of the “Banja Luka babies” from 1992. In addition, the volume also contains an In memoriam dedicated to Prof. dr Mirjana Roter Blagojević (1957-2023), as well as a review of the First World War in Croatia through commemorative practices. At the end of the volume there is also an overview of the book Andrija Štampar – Slike velikih formata [Andrija Štampar – Grand Perspectives] by Željko Dugac, as well as a brief overview of the symposium dedicated to the work of Prof. dr Aleksandar Đ. Kostić.
