A new issue of the journal Acta Historiae Medicinae XXXIX / 2020 has been published. This issue deals with biopolitical topics with special emphasis on ethical issues related to vaccine development, collective immunity, vaccine development and tobacco smoking during the Covid-19 epidemic, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the globalization process, medical research in Serbia, disease and the death of Philip II, the production of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Austro-Hungarian rule, the anatomical research of Emanuel Edward Klein, as well as doctors as an example of the transition of intellectual elites through various social and political regimes.
