A new issue of the journal Acta Historiae Medicinae XLI/2022 has been published. This issue deals with biopolitical topics with special emphasis on the use of moles (Talpa europea) as materia medica, hygienic and sanitary conditions in the prisons of the Principality and later the Kingdom of Serbia, state repression against hajduks and jataks in the first half of the 19th century, then the meeting of psychiatry and racism in the philosophy of Michel Foucault, health films in the service of eugenic surveillance over women in interwar Eastern Europe, distortion of history during the pandemic on the examples of Jasenovac and Staro Sajmište, palliative care in the age of the Covid-19 pandemic, the second Cold War and the crisis of the global order, while at the end books Dubrovački ples s kugom: vrijeme lazareta na Pločama [Dubrovnik’s Dance with the Plague: The Time of the Lazaret on Ploče] by Vesna Miović and Obrazovanje za saosećanje [Education on Compassion], by Isidora Jarić were reviewed.
