A new volume of the journal Acta Historiae Medicinae XLIII/2024/2 has been published. In this edition, biopolitical topics are covered with a special focus on fragmentation and identity in early modern votive culture, the contents of the medicine box “Medicamenten-Kastens” from 1850, the coverage of the Sarajevo press about cholera in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1892-1894, then on the Dubrovnik hospital and the creation of the surgical department during the First World War, as well as on the ideological concept of the Red Cross in Yugoslavia in the 1960s and 1970s.

At the end of the issue there is an account of the conference Medical review Auschwitz: Medicine behind the barbed wire, which took place from September 23 to 25, 2024 in Krakow, Poland.
