A new volume of the journal Acta Historiae Medicinae XLIV/2025/2 has been published. In this edition, biopolitical topics are covered with special reference to therapeutic strategies in the treatment of cancer in late antiquity based on the medical compendium of Aetius of Amida, health protection during travel according to the medieval manuscript Cantica Canticorum Avicenne Cum Commento Averrois, then on restrictions on immigration in the USA 1880-1930, as well as to the impact of the First World War on public health, in the case study of the Dubrovnik Hospital 1914-1924.
At the end of the volume there is an review of the book De zwevende Wereld.
